Wycombe Wanderers' former head coach Mike Dodds is reportedly in line for a move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers. The 40-year-old Dodds, who managed the Chairboys from February to September 2025, had a challenging stint, winning only nine of his 31 matches. His potential reunion with Blackburn comes after the club reappointed Tony Mowbray, who previously worked with Dodds at Sunderland. Mowbray's history with Dodds includes a period where Dodds stepped in as interim boss at Sunderland, achieving two wins from three matches. Currently, Dodds serves as the assistant head coach at Oxford United under former Wycombe manager Matt Bloomfield. Dodds joined Wycombe in February 2025 following Bloomfield's unexpected departure to Luton Town, with the club initially performing well in League One. However, Wycombe's form deteriorated towards the end of the season, resulting in a play-off defeat to Charlton Athletic. A poor start to the following season, with only two wins from 11 matches, led to Dodds' dismissal in September. Now, Mowbray is keen to bring Dodds back into the fold as he prepares for the upcoming season.
