Wycombe Wanderers have signed goalkeeper Matt Macey on a free transfer following his departure from Colchester United. Former Arsenal goalkeeper Macey, 31, joined Colchester from Portsmouth in 2024 and played 45 of their matches in League Two last season. Macey will officially join Wycombe on 1 July when his contract at Colchester expires. He becomes the second goalkeeper to join Wanderers on a free transfer in the space of a week after a deal for Plymouth Argyle's Conor Hazard was agreed. Tom Stockwell, Wycombe's director of football strategy and data intelligence, told the club website, "Along with the addition of Conor Hazard earlier in the window, Matt's arrival really strengthens the goalkeeping department at the club. "Matt's shot stopping and aerial dominance numbers were very strong in League Two last season and we're delighted to have Matt at the club."
