Wycombe Wanderers have recalled young defender Arthur Gregory from his loan spell at Slough Town. The 20-year-old's return was confirmed by the National League South club on Sunday.
Gregory spent the first part of the 2026/27 season with Slough, making 11 appearances for the club. His return bolsters Wycombe's defensive options as they sit 13th in League One with 18 points from 13 games, having recorded four wins, six draws, and three losses so far this campaign. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws, and one loss from their last five outings, a sequence that includes a 2-0 home victory over Burton Albion last weekend where Jayden Wareham and Cauley Woodrow scored. That result followed a 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon, where Fred Onyedinma netted, and a 2-2 draw at Cambridge United. The recent run also includes a 2-0 win over Notts County on Saturday 17 October, though it began with a heavy 4-1 defeat to Luton. Wycombe have scored 21 goals and conceded 23 this season.
Slough Town confirms departures
Slough Town confirmed the end of loan spells for both Arthur Gregory and fellow Wycombe player Jamie Odegah. Odegah, who joined Slough last month, made four appearances, including a debut in the Berks & Bucks Cup. In a statement, the club thanked both players for their contributions and wished them well for the future.
Wycombe now turn their attention to a significant home fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday 14 November. Huddersfield currently lead the League One table, with Wycombe 11 points behind them in the standings. The Chairboys will look to their top scorer this season, J. Wareham with 6 goals in 9 appearances, for inspiration in that match. Gregory's return provides additional squad depth ahead of this key match at Adams Park.
