Vokes enjoyed a playing career spanning nearly 20 years, making 751 appearances for club and country. He represented clubs including Bournemouth, Wolves, Burnley, Stoke, and Gillingham before his stint with the Chairboys. During his four seasons at Wycombe, the striker scored 30 goals in 144 appearances, becoming a familiar figure for supporters.
He returns to a side currently 20th in League One, having taken six points from their opening six matches. Their recent form shows two wins, one draw, and two losses from the last five games. The squad's fixtures include a trip to face 23rd-placed Wigan this weekend, a game that offers a chance to build on recent momentum. His experience will be a resource for a group that has scored 10 goals but conceded 14 so far this campaign.
